COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Irish Walker is brewed with six different malts and a blend of four classic hops. A long fermentation and cold aging makes Irish Walker a well rounded and complex Barley Wine. Irish Walker exhibits malty sweetness, fruity esters and malty balance. This ale will age well for years to come, or just enjoy now with good company. Cheers!

Bottle from argo0, thanks. Full beige head, dark ruby red, clear. Aroma is caramel, nuts, raisin. Flavor is full malty and interesting. Tiny bit of chocolate, hops, pine, grassy alcohol aftertaste. Overall, nice malty flavor, I would like a little better hop characteristic, but I appreciate the attempt from my hometown brewery.

Nikiel (878) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 21, 2014
Bottle from Jay. Pours dark/medium brown with tan foam. Smells rich and sweet of caramel, molasses, and a touch of anise. Tastes initially very different from the nose, very bitter and not terribly sweet, but as you wait, or introduce air, the sweetness comes through with raison, molasses and dark caremel.

650 ml. Hazy copper brown with a lasting film of cream. Nose is earthy toast, walnut, cocoa and caramel. Taste is caramel, chocolate, earthy oak, citrus and whiskey. Medium-heavy body is to the sweet side, shows a bit of warmth and has a medium-high carbonation that fits the brew. A bit boozy, but not overly so.
