22oz bottle, shared by jmborggren. Enjoy by: 7/2013. Half hazy yellow-orange color. Good, thin off-white kind of bubbly head, good spread of lace. Nice aroma - orange rind, other light citrus, some pine. Good citrus-peel in the flavor. Good bitter, nice zest. Good smooth, lighter carbonation. Nice dry texture, some light creaminess. Big bitter, but it’s a different kind of bitter - the opposite of medicinal, very enjoyable and freshly hoppy. Very nice double IPA. Cool, unique dry citrus-peel hoppy bite. Good hoppy aftertaste. Nice stuff.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 alexsdad06 (3038) - Ohio, USA - APR 3, 2013
Bottle shared by jmborggren. Pours a slightly hazy light amber color with a small white head. The aroma has citrus, resiny notes, grass and some floral hops with some bready malt and light caramel as a base. The flavor has resin, sticky citrus, grass, toasted bread and caramel. The finish is a more general bitterness with little in the way of flavoring hops. Good, but not great.
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Jcro32 (18) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - MAR 13, 2013
Puts a hazy golden with little head. Aroma is well balanced for the style keeping it hop forward with just enough sweetness to back it up. Taste is slightly sweeter than the nose but the bitter finish holds it together. Mouth feel is crisp for an imperial ipa making this an outstanding overall beer.

Strong orangey citrus nose with a hint of grassiness and some caramel. Pale malts with citrus and fresh grassy hop bitterness. Hint of sweet caramel starting to come out, not sure if its due to age, but I bet this one could have been stellar a couple weeks ago if the caramel less developed.

Bomber to snifter (thanks jmborggren). Looks decent; lots of sediment though. A cloudy orange with thin off-white lacing. Smells and tastes solid; bitter and citrus hops with a malty backbone. Good on the palate. Good beer.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 mikedR (355) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - MAR 6, 2013
Pours cloudy with no froth but a nice pungent grapefruit and grass hops aroma. Strong grapefruit taste as well, with high bitterness, both of which linger, and no discernible malt background. Quite dry. As a DIPA that accentuates grapefruit-forward hops I doubt you can find better. The beer is quite unbalanced in this respect, but that is clearly not what the brewers were going for. A successful one-note charley if you will.

So happy to see plenty of this one on the shelves at my local haunt. Grabbed some and popped a bottle with a friend whilst we played some darts.
Now this is the chunkiest beer I have ever poured. A massive amount of yeast sediment floats in this beer. It reminded me of that Orbitz drink from when I was a kid...but I hope these chunks aren’t to be chewed. A cloudy dark honey color with a small white cap of lace. Spotty lace sticks to the glass. Aroma is pretty fresh with lots of citrus - pineapple, grapefruit and starfruit.
The body is a bit slick with a slightly oily feel on the finish. Drinks easy enough though. Carbonation level is moderate. Nice hoppy flavor that keeps me sipping as nothing really lingers. It’s not the freshest or juiciest of hops as far as flavor goes, but they impart a nice bitter pop for sure. Mild peppery finish. Sweet and bold, this one is a good one. Nice work, OHB, I much prefer this to it’s milder sibling, Death by Hops.

Amber golden pour with a thin white head. Citrus, grapefruit, floral notes, resin hops, and bread malt. Bitter, medium-bodied, astringent finish.
