A Vienna-style lager beer. Ruby Lager is brewed in the American tradition with choice malted barley, rice and corn along with hops from Germany and the Czech Republic. Ruby Lager is slightly malty and medium bodied with a toasted nutty finish.

Tasted at twin city taps. So so beer. They did hit a ruby colored lager but missed the taste it is just an unbalanced mess.

Thanks to emacgee... dark amber with a copper center, clear, big tope head, very cloud like with great retention, looks great... really cheap generic nose, caramel and skunk, lots of corn, and some coffee, not great... the taste is even worse!, super flat, devoid of flavor at the front then a chemical skunk finish... pass on this

Bomber. Clear, bight red color with a small white head. Touch of yeast and grain on the nose. Only a bit more malt sweetness than a pale lager and a similarly short finish. Not bad, but boring and not worth going back to.

Pours a dark amber with a small white head. No lacing on my clean glass. Smells metallic and malty. A little bit of corn, sugar and cabbage. Same in the taste with a bit more in the malt. Slight bitterness mixed with a nice sweetness in the palate. Not a bad beer. Just expected a lot more for a lager, especially one with such a low abv.

Bottle pours a clear amber/red with a thin off white head. Sweet malt scent. Caramel taste with some hops.

Pours a deep red, maybe a tad lighter than something I would call "ruby" but itís getting there. The beer has a medium head that retains itís self nicely. Some fruity and bready malt shows up in the aroma along with mild vegetal notes. Generally it smells nice enough but the aroma is pretty reserved all together. The flavor is really very nice, and consequently a mildly roasty fruity lager with some mild snappy hops is pretty much exactly what Iím in the mood for at the moment. Iím glad I decided to open this up. Thereís not a whole lot to dig into here, itís a very clean cery malt forward beer that is really well balanced with a bit of zesty hop bitterness. Very full flavored for a >4% beer.

Bottle back from bestway in greensboro. Pour is a delicious looking and moniker honoring ruby red color. Nice tan head. A little nuttiness in the aroma along with a candy sugar sweetness. Flavor is smooth, a little creamy, and slightly sweet. The finish has an earthiness to it that is rather nice. Some grassy hops lightly added to finish you off. Nice drink here that could go down way too easy and way too frequently.

Tap. Amber red color, light tan head. Aroma of toasted malts and seaweed. Lots of salt water / beach smell in the nose of this beer. Kinda odd, Iíve never experienced a scent like that before. Completely flavorless. I tasted nothing. No sweetness, no malt characteristics. Not much fizz either. I sent it back. Booo.

22 ounce bottle from Bestway in Greensboro, NC. Pours a hazy bronze color with a medium tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of nutty caramel malts with a hoppy finish. Taste is caramel, nuts, toasted malts, and light nondescript fruity notes. Medium bodied. Decent beer.

Appearance: Pours out a translucent, amber-red body with a frothy, ivory-hued head. Slight smatterings of lace on the way down. Smell: Lightly toasty, bready, sweetish caramel notes, along with some spicy, herbaceous hop hints and an oh-so subtle baked apple fruitiness. Taste: Toasty, modesty nutty maltiness with nice sweet component of lightly caramelized sugars. Light backdrop of soft fruitiness. Additional dash or two of brown sugar. Minimal hop presence yielding from slight leafy, herbal taste and a mild bitterness. A little bit of the bitterness follows you through to the clean, lightly effervescent finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-plus carbonation. Fairly smooth mouthfeel. Drinkability: I enjoyed this one. Keenly drinkable -- itís got just enough flavor, the right amount of hops to balance, a slender body, and a graciously low ABV. I cleared through the entire bomber in record time, by the time the Pinback song "Grey Machine" had finished, I was done.
