2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 NachlamSie (2345) - Tennessee, USA - APR 18, 2007
Draught. Well, this beer isn’t that much of a ruby color, it’s more like a light amber and slightly see-through. No head formation on this one after less than a minute. The nose is rather mild with sweet, grassy, hay character and something that reminds me of white bread. Very assertive papery hops are in the flavor, reminds me of wood chips. Also I detect apple peels, walnuts, dough, and straight-up malted barley. This is pretty decent for something that is so obviously a lighter lager.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ClarkVV (3579) - Allston, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 16, 2005
UPDATED: FEB 18, 2005 Nice and deep, true to the name, with some dark auburn highlights and a good sized off-white head. Aroma of toasted malts, crisp lager yeast, honey and light notes of chocolate. Flavor is rich and sweet, with light toasted malt sweetness, some hints of caramel and a clean, crisp lager finish, which didnt water down. The texture is smooth, bordering on creamy. Medium body, moderate carbonation. One of the better beers I tried while down in Knoxville and it’s impressive to see this style (sort of a Vienna/American Dark hybrid) being produced fairly well down here.

Draught. Good flavor just not enough of it. A light
version of an amber-like lager. The finish is fairly
crisp, and there is a fairly decent hop aroma.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Wiseblood (700) - Clarksville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 14, 2004
Dark red with a good head. Malty-sweet aroma. Hints of brown sugar, but not much else. Mild, with a thin body and no aftertaste. Looks good, but not really interesting.

Nice red colored lager with a creamy thick head. Taste is lacking and I really like red lagers.
