Tap at Olde Hickory. Pours a medium to light amber with a thin head. Aroma is nutty malts, some toffee a bit earthy with some slight cobwebby staleness and crackers- light herbs. Flavor is a bit crisper- light caramel malts, hint of toast and bread with grassy and lightly herbal hops, earthy in the end- decent bitterness and fairly clean. is a bit weak and watery.

Appearance: Pours out a translucent, amber-red body with a frothy, ivory-hued head. Slight smatterings of lace on the way down. Smell: Lightly toasty, bready, sweetish caramel notes, along with some spicy, herbaceous hop hints and an oh-so subtle baked apple fruitiness. Taste: Toasty, modesty nutty maltiness with nice sweet component of lightly caramelized sugars. Light backdrop of soft fruitiness. Additional dash or two of brown sugar. Minimal hop presence yielding from slight leafy, herbal taste and a mild bitterness. A little bit of the bitterness follows you through to the clean, lightly effervescent finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-plus carbonation. Fairly smooth mouthfeel. Drinkability: I enjoyed this one. Keenly drinkable -- it’s got just enough flavor, the right amount of hops to balance, a slender body, and a graciously low ABV. I cleared through the entire bomber in record time, by the time the Pinback song "Grey Machine" had finished, I was done.

Tap. Amber red color, light tan head. Aroma of toasted malts and seaweed. Lots of salt water / beach smell in the nose of this beer. Kinda odd, I’ve never experienced a scent like that before. Completely flavorless. I tasted nothing. No sweetness, no malt characteristics. Not much fizz either. I sent it back. Booo.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear reddish-orange color with thin off white head. No lace. Smells of brown sugar and caramel. Slighty sweet. Flavor is dominated by malty caramel.
