COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Vienna-style lager beer. Ruby Lager is brewed in the American tradition with choice malted barley, rice and corn along with hops from Germany and the Czech Republic. Ruby Lager is slightly malty and medium bodied with a toasted nutty finish.

Bottle pours a clear amber/red with a thin off white head. Sweet malt scent. Caramel taste with some hops.

On draught at the brewery. Pours a nut amber with ring lace. The nose is of caramel and walnuts. Sweet caramel malt with a hint of cherry on the tongue. A well-balanced bitter back finishes the pull. Soft carbonation and a medium body accompany a smooth mouthfeel. Decent.

Strong, malty aroma has a yeasty overtone but is otherwise about average. It pours a clear dark coppery brown with a fairly thick, slightly yellowish light tan head. Malty flavor has yeasty and grassy notes with just a hint of apple, nothing special but still enjoyable. Texture is quite fizzy but just a bit on the thin side. Overall, a decent if not outstanding brew.

tastes watered down. red colored pour with creamy head. not bad looking, but not very good tasting. this one lacks when compared to the stick stout and the christmas ale.

Nice red colored lager with a creamy thick head. Taste is lacking and I really like red lagers.

Dark red with a good head. Malty-sweet aroma. Hints of brown sugar, but not much else. Mild, with a thin body and no aftertaste. Looks good, but not really interesting.

Draught. Well, this beer isnít that much of a ruby color, itís more like a light amber and slightly see-through. No head formation on this one after less than a minute. The nose is rather mild with sweet, grassy, hay character and something that reminds me of white bread. Very assertive papery hops are in the flavor, reminds me of wood chips. Also I detect apple peels, walnuts, dough, and straight-up malted barley. This is pretty decent for something that is so obviously a lighter lager.

Draft sampler at the brewery. Another beer I could drink all night. Nice smooth malt flavor.

A decent lager, but nothing spectacular. Light redish color with a slim head. Malty aroma. Kind of interesting malty taste. Nothing really stood out with this beer. Had this on tap at Barley's in Knoxville, TN.
