COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seven Devils- Our newest experiment with barrel aging. This time we brewed a delicious Scottish Ale (anyone remember our Nessieís?) and aged it in bourbon barrels. Our brew master says "Itís like drinking a candy bar." Notes of chocolate, caramel, and coconut blend with the caramal and roasty maltiness typical of Scotch Ales. Available on tap and in 22oz bottles. 8% abv

Bottle during RBWG. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is oak and coconut. Medium mouth with nice toffee, wood, raisin, caramel and light bourbon, very nice.

Itís a little light in body, but makes up for it completely in flavor and aroma. Pours fairly dark with no head. Nose is booze and more booze. Flavor is raisins and figs steeped in barrels of bourbon. But in a good way. Seriously, itís a little light in body and thatís my only note.

Bottle shared by b3shine. Poured a hazy dark reddish brown color with a moderate frothy tan head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium to heavy toasted malt, bourbon wood and earthy scotch aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy bourbon sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. A smooth complex drinkable brew.

brown with caramely glow, no head. Coconut caramel and burnt sugar aroma. Flavor is a bit disappointing compared to the nose. Tastes like a brown ale with some barrel character.

Bottle. Dark brown pour with no head. Aroma is bourbon with vanilla and oak and underlying malt sweetness. Taste is bourbon and vanilla, light roast, some sweeter malt, and alcohol bitterness on the finish. Coating mouthfeel. Cannot tease out much of the base beer but the bourbon treatment is smooth and delicious. Nice beer.

From 22oz bottle. Poured with little head, with a so-so brownish color. Sweetish aroma with strong hints of caramel. Taste is consistent for better or worse. I say that as I am not a great fan of beers that have a sweetness for the sake of simply being sweet, such as milk stouts an, well, Scottish ales... I believe fans of Scottish ales will really appreciate this beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
