COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Event Horizon Imperial Stout is an incredibly rich and luxurious beer brewed with ten malts, local honey, and four American hop varietals before and extended aging in oak bourbon barrels. The result is a beer with many layers of complexity. As the name implies, with one sip you will be unable to turn back. This 2010 special release will age well for years to come, or enjoy now in good company. Cheers!

Bottle courtesy of max. Pours a deep black with dark brown lacing. Aroma is rich raisin and dark chocolate roast. Mouthfeel is rich and full with notes of dark chocolate, espresso with five packets of sugar, earthy rooty roast and light maple. Great imperial stout.

22oz bottle, split with dwm1034. Pours a jet black color with a thin tan head. Aroma is boozy, whiskey, some oak. Medium on the palate with light carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, some oak, some vanilla, some whiskey, with a dry, bourbon oak finish. A serviceable bourbon barrel stout.

Shared bomber with SHERM1016....thanks! Pours black with reddish tinge at edges. Bourbon nose. Initial taste is same; some booze but fairly mild. Thin body; dry at end....very tasty.

22oz bottle, tasted at GreatMoloko’s place.. Black wax. 2013 vintage. Black color. Thin darker brown head. Dots of lace. Nice chocolate, coffee, some honey in the nose. Medium-plus body. Smooth, kind of crisp lighter carbonation. Light chewiness. Some light tart tannic... Moderate sweet. Alright stuff, for me.

shared a 2012 bomber with two friends. poured viscous black with a mocha coloured head. caramel, milk chocolate, oak, roasted malts, sweet bourbon, molasses, toffee, vanilla, oak, sweet coffee, incredible aroma, took me half an hour to notice it’’s "only" 8.5%! could use a bit more kick to the taste and it was a incredible beer! but still. what a lovely brew and so well combined with the bourbon barrels

Bomber poured a translucent dark reddish brown with a small lingering brown head. Aromas of bourbon, brown sugar, caramel, dark chocolate, light roastiness and light vanilla. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth. Flavors of dark, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, oak, brown sugar, light roastiness and light dried fruit with a smooth lingering brown sugar finish.

Deep dark blackish pour, thick, mostly opaque, small tan head. Big boozy bourbon aroma up front, sweet, oaky, vanilla, more booze, lightly roasty, chocolate. Semisweet chocolatey, toffee, bourbon, vanilla flavor.

Bottle share thanks to dextercat. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is mix of bourbon boost, chocolate, and coffee. Taste is smooth, rich, burns a bit in the back of the throat. Aftertaste is clean, just a bit of boost.

Pours a deep umber color. Lots of chocolate roast is apparent, some sweet sticky honey sweetness lies underneath the roast with traces of licorice, vanilla bean, caramel, nilla wafers and cocoa powder. Touch of bitterness cleans up the finish with lingering boozy bourbon character.
