COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Event Horizon Imperial Stout is an incredibly rich and luxurious beer brewed with ten malts, local honey, and four American hop varietals before and extended aging in oak bourbon barrels. The result is a beer with many layers of complexity. As the name implies, with one sip you will be unable to turn back. This 2010 special release will age well for years to come, or enjoy now in good company. Cheers!

22 ounce bottle. Pours a viscous black with a thin khaki head of foam. Big bourbon and sugar on the nose. Very sweet and boozy taste. A little spice comes through as well.

22. Thank you, alex, for hooking up a taste of this, and thank you david for this wee dram. Fuck this beer is ridiculous and then some. You other beers need to get a hold of yourselves and sack up. Pours jet black with a dense and creamy dark tan head. Huge honey, oak, vanilla, espresso, roast, and caramel nose. All perfectly integrated, all raised to a higher power in the combination. Luscious mid palate, tartly tangled in a sweet and roasty combo. Absolutely spectacularly assembled.

Bottle. Trade with with Sean9689. Thanks. Pours black with a small creamy head. Nose is complex. Lots of wood, bourbon, coffee and sweet honey. Flavor is really delicious. Wood, roast, coffee, vanilla, liquorice, toffee and mild honey. A bot of warmth - nothing too heavy. Smooth, slick and chewy. Bang!

Bottle shared by dedollewaitor, thanks. Black body with a medium dark brown head. Aroma is bourbon, chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, vanilla, maple syrup. Flavour is bourbon, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, roasted malt, caramel. Alcohol thickles on the tongue. Complex. This is great. Thanks Mads and Sean.

Solid nose of vanilla, bourbon and caramel chocolate. Thick black pour. Fast dissipating beige head. Solid bourbon vanilla flavor with a smokey malt finish that dries the palate and lingers on the side of the tongue. The bottle I have says 8.5% abv and not 10%. This beer needs a lil more meat to its mouthfeel and flavor to balance out the whiskey aging.

Bomber. Dark black pour, tan head. Chocolate, roast, tobacco, molasses, vanilla, raisin, oak, rich sweetness, and smooth bourbon. Nicely done barrel aged imperial stout.
