On tap. Pours a darker gold with an eggshell head that laces nicely. Nose is heavy pine, some grapefruit, and spicy hops. Taste is very bitter with hardly any sweetness. Lighter bodied with fair carbonation and plenty of bitterness on the finish. This was pretty nice, plenty of character but also quite drinkable.

Draft at olde peninsula. Ok probably redundant. Dry hop aroma. Murky, amber. Good look for an IPA. Really nice flavor. Heard not too favorable reviews of OP’s brews and either they collectively do t know what they’re talking about or they’ve improved markedly. Nice lace. Nice IPA.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus, sweet caramel malt, and sweaty hops. Flavor of citrus hops, hops oils, caramel malt. A very tasty IPA -- good stuff! One of the better fresh IPAs from a Michigan brewpub. 7/4/8/4/15 [3.8/5]

Draught at the pub. Orange amber with a thin creamy off white head. Aroma is bit floral, piney. A nice piney IPA. Mild, basic.

Tap @ brewpub. Amber colour, white head. Aroma of some pine hops. Flavour has flowery hops, grapefruit, caramel malts. Not bad.

UPDATED: SEP 12, 2010 Draft at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy amber color. Some lacing. Mild hoppy aroma. Tastes of grass and hops. Mouthfeel isn’t as intense as some piney IPA’s . Very drinkable however and overall a good IPA. Rerate from 9/2008. This IPA has improved since my original rating

I’m surprised, with OP not being shy with the hops, this was overly present in their IPA. Very floral in the nose. Slight spice and citrus nice hops, but not quite enough. Bite lingers in the finish a bit. Not a bad IPA, just not special. On par with many regular pales, Siera Nevada comes to mind.

On tap at Olde Peninsula brewpub. Cloudy light amber with a thin white head. Aroma of citrus hops, grapefruit and some grassy hops. Taste is more of the same, with a somewhat bland grapefruity finish. Perhaps a little thin.

Growler acquired in trade with hoppymeal (and an extra to boot - thanks!!!). Poured a cloudy orangish color wih an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of floral hops, citrus, and some pine. Tastes of floral hops, citrus, and a trace of caramel. Medium grapefruit bitter finish.
