On tap at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus, sweet caramel malt, and sweaty hops. Flavor of citrus hops, hops oils, caramel malt. A very tasty IPA -- good stuff! One of the better fresh IPAs from a Michigan brewpub. 7/4/8/4/15 [3.8/5]

On tap. Pours a darker gold with an eggshell head that laces nicely. Nose is heavy pine, some grapefruit, and spicy hops. Taste is very bitter with hardly any sweetness. Lighter bodied with fair carbonation and plenty of bitterness on the finish. This was pretty nice, plenty of character but also quite drinkable.

Typical IPA. Quite a bitter one at that. It definitely has that grapefruit rind flavor to it. Very nice and citric. Lots of hops. Light brown and like I said quite typical.

Hazy orange with a rocky white head. The aroma is sweet citurs hops, light bread. he flavor is bitter crisp hops, citrus, light pine with a dry bready middle. Dry medium palate. Not too shabby.

UPDATED: JUN 9, 2008 Cloudy orange and hazy. Hugely grassy and bitter, dank and juicy all over this one, from smell to taste to aftertaste, where it dries out. Mandarin orange notes and cannabis notices in this one, with some nice, crisp and clean biscuit malt notes and heavy use of c-note hops (or Amarillo?) Good stuff, but the nose got a little meaty and herbal when it warmed.

Draft at olde peninsula. Ok probably redundant. Dry hop aroma. Murky, amber. Good look for an IPA. Really nice flavor. Heard not too favorable reviews of OP’s brews and either they collectively do t know what they’re talking about or they’ve improved markedly. Nice lace. Nice IPA.

this struck me as a very average IPA. slightly stronger and bitterer than their Tornado Pale Ale, but definitely not a bad beer. i’ll drink it again.

On tap: Citrusy aroma with grapefruit hops. Transparent orangish-amber with a small white head. Quick slightly watery sweet citrus up front is quickly overtaken by a big grapefruit hopped finish. A tad thin in the mouthfeel. A simple IPA, but decent.

tap: lighter copper with off-white head. Grea lacing. Aroma is citrus and pine dominated, almost no malt detectable. Flavor again is all citrus and pine, with no malt, but really doesn’t seem to unbalanced. Decent lingering citrus aftertaste. Body on the watery side, really hurts the score, still pleasantly surprised.

Growler acquired in trade with hoppymeal (and an extra to boot - thanks!!!). Poured a cloudy orangish color wih an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of floral hops, citrus, and some pine. Tastes of floral hops, citrus, and a trace of caramel. Medium grapefruit bitter finish.
