COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our most popular seasonal! This golden ale is lightly hopped. Spices are added to give it the taste of eating a slice of pumpkin pie in a glass.

Poured amber. Smells like a windmill cookie. The hotter spice notes are what made it good for me. NIce medium body and nice hops. Not a big pumpkin ale fan, but I regulary enjoyed having one of these in the rotation when I visited OP.

Draft to taster at Olde Peninsula. Looks solid; a hazy golden orange with foamy creme head. Smells of pumpkin and related spices, much like pumpkin pie. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

Tap @ Olde Peninsula: Hazy copper-amber & sunburst gradient with a bubbly, beige film & collar that leaves some nice lacing behind. Aroma of spicy cinnamon, creamy nutmeg, mild potpourri, & a toasty malt background. Lighter hints of ginger & vanilla towards the back-end. Taste is heavily cinnamon *& ginger, very well spiced with lighter inclusions of nutmeg, toasted bread, & crispy, crackery malts. Some slight earthy potpourri spice brings on a touch of bitterness in the finish. Thin bodied. Not bad.

very interesting pumpkin and spice aroma. i expected it to be a tad sweeter than it was, it wasnt quite like pumpkin pie but more like canned spiced pumpkin. a very intriguing fall beer!

Despite the smokers next to me at the bar, the aroma was classic for the style with cinnamon and nutmeg. Flavor and palate were also par for the course. A decent pumpkin brew.

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2015 Clear rusty orange. Nose of potpourri pumpkin spice and pie with a little bit of black pepper. Flavor is sharp and peppery, almost meaty like jerky or pepperoni mixed in with the pumpkin spice. Vibrant and effervescent, peppery on the tongue, but still moderately thick and frothy for the style. Very good.
