3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From notes. Enjoyed this at the MBG Winter Beer Fest. The pour is a lovely black color, though the consistency seems a little thin, and carries a dark khaki/light brown colored head and no lace. The aroma is quite disappointing. There is a light chocolate and vanilla offering with a little roasted malt, and a strong lactose sugar. I donít get any coffee, though thatís what I was hoping for. The flavor is just as disappointing. There is a little more vanilla here, which I do like, but the rest of the flavors seem to fall off and meld together. Not the best of things. The mouth feel is decently thick, with a strange carbonation and a lingeringly roasted, light milk chocolate aftertaste. Couldíve been so much more

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap. Pitch black pour with a thinner khaki head that leaves some thick lacing behind. Nose is very chocolaty with some coffee and a little vanilla and a slight metallic twinge. Taste is fairly sweet, but solidly bitter. Palate is toward medium with a livelier carbonation. Decent brew. The nose kind of leads you to believe it could be a more powerful or rich brew, but itís definitely more on the session side.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Darft at the brewpub. Pours black with medium tan head. No lacing. Aroma of mild chocolate. Flavor is roast and sweet chocolate, but really this is all about the chocolate. Very nice sweet stout that compliments OPís Midnight stout.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark brown to almost black with thin tan head. Aroma obvious of chocolate, coffee, caramel, and vanilla. Flavor is dominated by chocolate. I honestly would have thought that I wouldnít like a beer like this, but it is a very chocolate dominant beer and really hit the spot.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The beer pours black but is not too thick. Has an dark brown head that didn't last long or leave much lacing. The aroma is chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate. The flavor is chocolate again and it is delicious. Overall there isn't much to the beer but it is still enjoyable.

Had on draft at the brewpub. A nice chocolate stout, which reminded me of cocoa puffs. Probably the highlight of my night. It was a little on the watery side, but still very drinkable.
