On tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a small light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, lactose, and roasted malt. Flavor of plenty of chocolate and lactose, vanilla, and some roasted malt. Quite tasty, especially so if you are a fan of lactose-enriched beers. 7/4/8/4/14 [3.7/5]

Pours a dark brown to almost black with thin tan head. Aroma obvious of chocolate, coffee, caramel, and vanilla. Flavor is dominated by chocolate. I honestly would have thought that I wouldn’t like a beer like this, but it is a very chocolate dominant beer and really hit the spot.

Draft to mug at OP. Looks good; pitch black with beige lacing. Smells of chocolate and malt. Tastes like it smells with a little nastiness and an average mouthfeel. Good beer!

Had on draft at the brewpub. A nice chocolate stout, which reminded me of cocoa puffs. Probably the highlight of my night. It was a little on the watery side, but still very drinkable.

Darft at the brewpub. Pours black with medium tan head. No lacing. Aroma of mild chocolate. Flavor is roast and sweet chocolate, but really this is all about the chocolate. Very nice sweet stout that compliments OP’s Midnight stout.

On tap. Pitch black pour with a thinner khaki head that leaves some thick lacing behind. Nose is very chocolaty with some coffee and a little vanilla and a slight metallic twinge. Taste is fairly sweet, but solidly bitter. Palate is toward medium with a livelier carbonation. Decent brew. The nose kind of leads you to believe it could be a more powerful or rich brew, but it’s definitely more on the session side.

On tap at GTMW 2012. Dark brown with a thin brown crown. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and a touch of coffee. Taste is mostly chocolate and roasted malt with mild vanilla and coffee beneath.

On tap at GTMW. Poured hazy, deep garnet with a creamy beige head. The aroma was on the sweet side, with lots of chocolate and vanilla.. some other black malt too.. not a lot of dimensions to it, but I wanted to drink it. The flavor was similar, with a higher vanilla-to-chocolate ratio.. toasty and sweet.. tasty. Light-medium bodied and a touch tangy on the palate.. simple and sufficient.

The beer pours black but is not too thick. Has an dark brown head that didn't last long or leave much lacing. The aroma is chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate. The flavor is chocolate again and it is delicious. Overall there isn't much to the beer but it is still enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
