650 ml bottle courtesy of dkachur. Pours a translucent copper color with medium white head that showed good lacing. The aroma was moderate in strength with dough, malted barley and apricots. The taste was hops forward with a fair biter hops kick, also present in the flavor was pine, caramel and brown sugar. The mouthfeel was full and malty. The finish was medium in duration and biter-sweet. Overall: A very enjoyable IPA, sometimes the bitterness comes across as a bit harsh, but strengths outweigh flaws. A recommended quaff. Thanks Dan.

This was a nice IPA. Very robust and flavorful on the hops but not overwhelming. Very enjoyable and nice beer.

Bottle. Aroma caramelly and malty, toasted, maybe even a bit burnt, lightly citrus bittering hops. Flavor again caramelly with balancing bitter, mildly citrus hops. Ok, certainly not a standout.

Very nice appearance; bright, clear golden copper with a tight medium white head. Has a light, floral earthy nose. Flavor has notes of grass, grapefruit/citrus, British hop earthiness and ends with a light caramel sweetness. Medium bitterness level for an IPA. Smooth texture, medium bodied with mild to moderate carbonation. Ok, but not great.

Pours an orange-tea into the glass. There is a nice frothy head that diminishes to a ring and leaves thick, sticky lace. The nose has some citrus, caramel and floral notes. The flavors are of heavy grapefruit, sour caramel malt and a lasting peppery finish. The mouthfeel is sticky and oily. The grapefruit and hop contingencies work quite well together, combining great notes of an IPA.

THOUGHTS: Wasn’t expecting too much from this one because I never heard much about it before picking it up, But it was a very nice beer. Great really. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, medium orange with an average, slightly off-white head that mostly diminished but left good lacing. The aroma was light to moderate caramel malt and heavy pine and citrus (mostly orange) hops The initial flavor was moderately sweet and lightly acidic; while the finish was moderate to heavily sweet and bitter and lightly acidic with and average to long finish. There was caramel malt then orangey citrus hops with a little pine too. The medium body was sort of syrupy, yet oily too. But a better word overall would be juicy. It had fizzy carbonation with a very light astringent finish.

Bottle. Aroma mostly of hops (combination of citrus, floral and metallic) and some sweet malt. The palate is nice and slightly creamy. Good balance of hop and malt in the flavor; not too bitter for an IPA.

Draft at Colonial Downs Rhythm, Bets, and Brews Fest. Golden orange with citrusy hop aroma and moderate white head. Pale malt sweetness with citrusy/piney hop flavor and moderate bitterness. Clean mostly dry finish with some residual hop bitterness. Tasty and quite on style for an American IPA.
