Aroma is chocolate, bourbon, spicy. Taste is a little watery, but there is good flavor here with chocolate, licorice, cardamon, and bourbon barrel. Vegetable hops slightly. Predominately anise and chocolate. I like this one.

22 oz bottle. Pours a clear amber body with a minimal fleeting off-white head that vanished completely. The nose is lightly toasty malt with a touch of leafy hops. Light in flavor with toasty and slightly sweet caramel malt. Finishes fairly clean with just the lightest touch of bitterness. Lighter bodied with moderate fizzy carbonation. Another run of the mill Amber.

This one poured a ruby red color with an offwhite head. Aroma was lightly toasted, some sweeter 2 row, and some caramel too. Flavor was much like the aroma, very close to the style of red ale but nothing special by any means.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 ruskiimperial (308) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JAN 5, 2010
A decent amber ale. The aroma isn’t particularly strong but some malty sweetness come through. On the taste, hops make a slight spicy appearance, before the malts take over for a more sweet sensation. The mouthfeel is very pleasant, parly because there is nothing that will leave much of a strong impression. Its not that remarkable but a very decent amber ale to sip on.

Bomber. Disappointed. Pours brown with little white head. A sweeter brew all around with notes of caramel and grain in nose. Dry throughout with a grain flavor also. A very malty close.

Bomber. Lightly hazy, deep red-copper with a lasting quarter inch of cream. Faint aroma of toasted nut, cocoa and caramel. Flavors are caramel, chocolate, berries and nut tempered by some slight citrus, wood and chalk. Medium body is mostly smooth, but has a few flareups.

Bottle from Market Street Wine Shop Downtown. No, you won’t find any more. Reddish brown color with a medium head and good retention and lacing. Slightly tart caramel aroma. Very grainy taste with fruity and spicy notes. Smooth. Medium body.

Bomber. Deep amber with reddish overtones with ample light-tan head. Toasty and nutty aroma and flavor. A little thin on the body. My favorite of the Olde Richmond beers.
