blindeyedbetty (99), Arlington, Virginia, USA Jan 10, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Aroma of sweet caramel and malt. Fluffy white head which leaves little lacing. Copper colored body that implies a heartier mouthfeel that this beer actually presents, which was thin. Very slight hoppy flavor masked with a bland blanket of grain. Mild aftertaste of nuttiness. Nothing outstanding or out of the ordinary.
fredandboboflo (633), East Setauket, New York, USA Sep 4, 2008 Tap at Hop Devil. Aroma of caramel malt with a light tartness and red fruits. Flavor brings out a rich, sweet malt as the tart hint remains, and more earth and bread comes out as well. Thought this was a Vienna as I was drinking it, I guess it’s a sort of hybrid. In any case, quite tasty. LilBeerDoctor (642), East Setauket, New York, USA Sep 3, 2008 On tap at HDG. Pours a deep red/orange with a small white head. Aroma of sweet malt. Flavor of nuts, nice sweet malt, brown sugar, some vegetal notes too. Hmm, didn’t realize this was an oktoberfest but now it makes sense I guess. It’s alright. sheatripper (826), Brooklyn, New York, USA Jun 30, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Copper pour with a thin almond colored head. Caramel corn aroma. Flavor sweet, caramely, grainy. Blech. mmather (113), Colorado, USA Jun 28, 2008 from a 12 oz bottle. given what I have had from this brewery in the past, I was nicely surprised by this brew. Nicely malty, light caramel, hint of hops. Very nice drinkable summer beer. enjoyed it. dkachur (900), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jun 6, 2008 Bottle from Market Street Wine Shop Downtown Charlottesville.
