Appearance: dark brown ale with large creamy , tanned fine top. Nose : sweet , roasted aromas of barley , hints of inka coffee , some perfume touchess.7- Flavor/Palate : Creamy , soft bodied. Light roasted character with very slight acidic finish. Soft creamy topping covers roasted notes. Ok , but Quiet ordinary brew, to creamy for my liking.
Raphael__N (156), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Mar 26, 2008 On tap at the Olde Stone. The best of their brews. This one poured a dark thick liquid with a consistent tan-brown head that laced very well. This is one hell of a heavy beer. The head felt like I was slurping down cream, and the rest of the body was fairly thick as well. Nose was heavily of roasted malt and coffee. The flavour of the beer was dominated in coffee, roasted malt and chocolate. While the complexity wasn’t too high, that was a damn fine beer, above the rest of their selections. I’m definitely going back for another one. tomthompson89 (1051), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Mar 22, 2008 Really nice dry stout, had a t brew pub. Black with nice creamy tan head, nose is really roasty, some choc, maybe a little coffee. Similar flavor profile as the nose, dry slightly bitter finish. Very well done!!! Bobsy (196), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 14, 2007 Pint from the brewpub. Thick black body, with a tan coloured head. Smoke, roasted malts and coffee in the aroma is followed through in the flavour. Smooth on the palate with a very dry finish. Quite a nice stout! The_Jester (444), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Oct 11, 2007 A pint or three at the pub. Looks the part: dark, dark brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma is smoky, roasty, but not strong. Taste has dark coffee, roast, a bit of chocolate. There is some surprising fruitiness in there as well. Creamy, but not as bitter/dry as it should be. More of a sweet stout, perhaps. Good, though.
