Commercial Description:
Named after Oscar Wilde for his peculiar lifestyle, this is the highest gravity beer produced in our brewery. Full bodied and dark in colour, with a roasty flavour to match, it's sure to satisfy the dark beer lover.

(Draught) Sampled at the brewpub in Peterborough, ON. Pours a foamy, beige, non-dissipating head with a reddish-brown body and tiny nitro bubbles. Sweet, scotch nose with roasated malt. Smooth, smoked malt flavour with a mild caramel scotch finish. Very enjoyable.

This was a good one. Reddish brown in colour with a nice roasted flavour. Worth a try.

Draught. Dark garnet body with a small white ring of head. The aroma has some caramel, toffee, and burnt maple sugar. Enough complexity here to keep things interesting - sweetness with multiple layers between cookies and caramel. Finishes toasty and faintly sweet.

On tap. Deep garnet color, medium sized beige head. Fair amount of caramel, predominantly sweet, very light bitterness on the end. Medium bodied. I’d drink again.

On tap. Deep brown, small foamy white head. Strong nutty malt aroma. Lots of caramel nuttiness in taste, all malt, all the time! Medium body. Light hops. I usually like my old ales to have more alcohol kick and complexity, but on its own, this is a solid brown ale. Very tasty and drinkable (and fresh this day).
