COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We invite you to experience our Amber Ale, a beer as beautiful to look at as it is to drink. Our recipe blends our own pale malt base with three specialty malts and the freshest "American" noble hobs. The resulting deep, rich color of Olde Towne Amber Ale means great flavor, leaning toward the malty side with just a hint of hops in the bouquet. Olde Towne Amber Ale is a feast for the eyes, nose and mouth. Tasting is understanding.

Thanks to Springslicker for the 12oz botle. A slightly hazed amber pour. A peculiur aroma that is sort of sour (is that a smell). A light hint of roasted malt that goes to a sour or maybe tart. A watery, fizzy palate. The palate and the flavor remind me of old iced tea with lemon in it. Not very good but I didn’t pour any of it out.

UPDATED: SEP 26, 2006 Leave it to the home of NASA to develop this stuff. Real dark amber, sort of a dry finish.

Pours a amber color. Aromas of caramel, malt, and spice. Flavor has a touch of roast coffee taste, some caramel/toffee.

Bottle... RBSG2006... Murky, deep amber ale with millions of floaties suspended within. Small, fizzy, off-white head. Funky nose with notes of honey. Also plenty of evidence of aldehyde and lactic acid in both the aroma and flavor. Fortunately, I dig "tart." Medium-bodied and astringent with soft carbonation. Bone dry, coarse finish. Keep those tanks and bottles clean down in Huntsville!

Poor Alabama!!! I’ve never had an amber ale with coffee in it. I’ve also never had a coffee citrus combo flavor like this one. A sad beer. Poured with a huge head that didn’t lace too well. The aroma was foul, some coffee and chemical aromas. The flavor was coffee and citrus, but not much caramel or any hop presence. Man, do they regulate flavor along with ABV in Alabama? Mouthfeel was acidic and weak, although there was cloudiness present in the body.

"Ba humbub yet again. Poured an amber color with a huge head, didn’t lace though. Aroma was of coffee??? Flavor was of coffee and citrus fruits. Mouthfeel was thin yet again. Thanks to eagle for the beer from bama, but won’t drink from there again. "

Lemony sourness with a touch malt took me back for the initial palate. Not too drinkable in my opinion.

Thanks to brentfeesh for this. Small head that tops off an amber body. Light malt with an undesirable sour aroma. The sourness comes back as an acidic note in the flavor combined with some light sweet malt notes. Light bodied, fizzy carbonation, watery.
