(Bottle) Pours a clear amber body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel, cocoa, and cereal. Flavor of caramel, citrus, nuts, maple, and nutmeg (very sweet).

12oz bottle- thanks to Joe/jwc215 and Danner-pours a thin off white head and gold color. Aroma is light/medium malt-butterscotch/English/earthy, fruity. Taste is light/medium malt-butterscotch/English/earthy, fruity, faint hops. Seems like a diactyl/bacteria influence. Drain pour, if its supposed to taste like this, I should score lower still.

From a 12-oz bottle shared by badgerben, pours a clear copperish orange brew with a quick dissolving off-white head. Aroma has citrus peel, vinegar and a touch of caramel. Taste is highly carbonated, very acidic and metalic falvor with a sour aftertaste. Finish is sour with more vinegar character. This beer has been infected. For a Flemish style sour brown ale, this beer would receive a higher rating, but not as a heller bock beer.

"Courtesy" of Brentfreesh. Dark gold color with no head. Sour malt aroma. Tastes slightly vinegary and soured. Wow... all kinds of infection going on here.

Draught at Humphrey’s Bar and Grille. Pours deep copper and amber with a small patchy off-white head that is mostly diminishing and leaves some lined lacing. Aroma is malt (grain, cereal, meal), caramel notes and yeast (dark bread, sweat) with toffee notes and faint DMS, butter. Initially sweet, slightly acidic caramel, toffee malt that finishes yeasty with butterscotch notes and nutty throughout. Medium bodied with a creamy feel and a fizzy finish.

Orange color. Flavor and aroma are sour. Some sugar. I had three bottles from this brewer in one night, and all were infected.

Courtesy of Quake1028. It pours a nice clear copper with thin off white head. Wow, the aroma smells like rose pedals and not a whole lot more. The taste is mild with roasty and sweet malts mixed with a load of flower pedals and vague sugar sweetness. I don’t know how this is a Heller Bock. The experience didn’t work for me.
