3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at Chequers, Grantham. Its grapefruit and cereal flavours are refreshing, and it’ts relatively enjoyable as a first pint, but Regal Blond’s bitterness doesn’t linger and it’s not especially memorable.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cask (gravity) - The Duke of Wellington, Norwich. Clear, bright golden body with a small & disappearing bubbly white head. Lemon on the nose with an odd raw potato note coming through. Lemon, a bit of apple and some dry, grassy lagery hoppiness. Crisp & light, fresh & spritzy carbonation with a medium length hoppy finish. A fair, easy drinking golden but I could have done without that aroma note.

Cask conditioned handpump Malt Shovel Northampton. A light straw coloured beer with a whitish head and lacing. The aroma has grassy and flowery hops with a little peach. Lagerish in the mouth with obvious lager ingredients although it is on the sweet side of the spectrum.

Cask@GBBF2008. Yellowish golden colour, not much head. Aroma is eggy, fruity and quite earthy. Flavour is grass, fruits and some mild notes of yeast and underlying nectar. Not much of an aftertaste here.
