500ml bottle at home on 19 June 2011, best before 1 January 2012. Hazy blonde with a fluffy white head. Good, lively condition. Slightly yeasty aroma. Malts are quite biscuity. A touch of soft, fruity hop. Didn’t really pick out Cascade - perhaps they should have used more? Otherwise clean but not the most inspiring. Seemed a bit short of clout for a strong bitter. The Belgian style beers from this brewery generally seem to me more interesting.

Cask at the Bricklayers Arms Norfolk & Suffolk festival, 23rd Sept 2010. Light amber with a small, persistent white head. Nose has limes and a hint of grass. The Cascade citrus drives the flavour too, with some malt balance and a decent weight. I’m a bit torn on this. I prefer my golden ales rather lighter.
