’January 8th’ ale is brewed with Maris Otter Pale Malt from The famous Branthill Farm in North Norfolk and a little Munich Malt, which gives it a good malt flavour with a little caramel and roast in there too. It also has a fruity taste with some nice bitterness coming through and with a colour of around 22 EBC’s. Golding hops and Saaz hops have been added to give the ale a nice fruity aroma and a good balance of around 30 EBU’s.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, purchased and consumed Sept’ 2010. Pours golden moving to amber, flat appearance but trying to offer a little bit of life. Very ordinary and rather lacklustre, sweet, bit drab, some fruitiness, ok, in fact to be fair it’s getting a bit better the more I get down this bottle, so fine enough. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of fruit, malt, caramel, and flowers. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of fruti combined with medium notes of flowers, leading to a dry and spicy finish.
