COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Incredibly ugly and muddy beer. It has a wild dish-like foam. But good hoppy taste.

Bottled. A dark red-amber beer with a huge creamy tan head. The aroma has strong notes of fruit as well as medium notes of yeast and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of yeast, fruit, sices, caramel, nuts, and some wood, leading to a dry nutty finish.

75 cl bottle (2010). Pours a lovely dark colour with a decent head, light body, lightly bitter, but lacks taste imo.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown/dark amber color, with a big frothy white off-white head. Aroma is malty and slightly hoppy. Flavor is nutty, caramel and sweet malts, and a small amount of citric hops. Body is light to medium, with a slightly watery mouthfeel. Overall a decent drinkable beer, but a bit too bland and boring.

A nicely dark/brown-coloured beer with a fresh but plain/ordinary aroma. My expectations were not in top, when the head almost vanished immediately before my eyes. But the fresh and slightly bittersweet taste really put this easterbrew into the top league.

0.75 L corked bottle enjoyed with herring at some restaurant in Nyhavn, København. Low tan head. Reddish-brown, hazed body. Fresh Belgo-yeasty and light acidic-sour fruity aroma. Also a scent of crisp malts. Taste is semi-dry, nutty and light caramelly. A fine, fruity acidity and a mild but distinct bitterness blend well in. Soft and smooth on the palate. Healthy body. Balanced, utterly fresh, and with super drinkability. A Belgian-style ale as I like it.
