Draught at Kobehavnske Oldage, May 2006. Reddish colour. Very hoppy, as if that’s any surprise. Lots of resinous pine. Distinctly bitter. Sharp, fresh mouthfeel. Maybe a touch of caramel but its mainly about the hops. Nothing like an Irish red ale at all, thank goodness. I liked this one a lot.

Thanks to sk8viking for the bottle! BB 9/15/06. Poured clear coppery-amber with a short off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet caramel and dark fruity malts.. came across as quite sweet.. heavy grassy hop accents.. smelled quite nice! The flavor found sweet, deeply-toasted caramel and other dark malty notes at the core with grapefruit, pine, and grassy hoppage providing moderate bitterness.. very sweet overall with toasty caramel and bitter grapefruit at the back-end. Medium-bodied and very well-hopped (especially considering the age of the beer!).. well-balance and very enjoyable!

Thanks Jason. Best by 9/15/06. The beer pours to a glowing reddish amber body with a thin white head. The aroma is grassy and lightly weedy hops. The flavor is a grassy light citrus really hoppy red ale. The palate is nicely bitter, medium bodied, and nicely textured with a decent creaminess.

Hazy orange-amber; small rim for a head. Grapey hops, very fruity, dry already in the nose. Extremely hoppy, fruity taste, ending in a woody, liquorice without the sweetness, impression. A streak of very aged, but somehow ligthly stale brandy. Oily feel, bit burning MF, more alcoholic than the ABV would suggest. Typical Ølfabrikken manufacture. It becomes a bit predictable. But it’s good... First of a long series I have to profusely thank Joss for...

BB 01-12-06. Opague red colour and an average head. Very beautiful, muddy red in the glass. The aroma is very obvious with Ølfabrikkens always recognizeable hops, and extremely spicy. Theres a lot of flowers and citrus in here. The flavor is again marked by flowers and a really big amount of hops. Nicely bitter finish with tobacco notes. One of these beers that are extremely bitter in the end, but is so well-brewed that it never turns acrid. Also a creamy and full-bodied beer. Very delicate.

Bottle, 6.0%. Nicely fruity hop aroma. Quite cloudy, almost muddy red colour. OK stable head. The flavour is also nicely hoppy. High bitterness balanced with a little sweetness. Mild carbonation and good mouthfeel.
