3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
I seem to fall in between the two parties on this one. Aroma was of a little chocolate and some smoke or peat. According to nolankowal this name comes from the region of scotch production. Pretty dry and a tad bit of dirty clothes.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
CT7 Bottle shared by LeopoldStotch ocurtesy of Lars. Black pour with no head. Aroma was Isaly all the way: heavy peat, wood, seawater coupled with dry chocolate and light smoke from the stout. Flavors of bakers chocolate, smoke, wood, peat and roasted malts. Medium body woody/smokey/peaty throughout with a dry finish. This one was my favorite surprise of the night, with all the bourbon cask stuff around it’s about time there were some single malt cask aged brews like this one where both the styles of the scotch and beer itself come through. Nicley done!

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
C-bus 7. I have to disagree with my coutnerparts who enjoyed this brew. Smell of weak roasted malts, very bitter chocolate and plenty of peat. Too much peat for my liking. Black body with a thin head. Medium palate. The taste is very malty, with the evil peat showing up again to wreck things, and very dry as well. No sir, I didn’t like it...

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Columbus tasting 7 shared by LeopoldStoch! - Thanks! - Pours black with a slight mocha head. Aromas of oak, chocolate, caramel, dark fruits, and scotch. Smoke and peat also found in the nose. Flavor is chocolate, peat, oak, dark fruit, scotch, and a good amount of smoke. Amazingly Smooth with low carbonation and a good full body. I really liked the scotchlike qualities of this beer. Wow... Good stuff..

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
C-Bus tasting...Sliffy basically nailed the rating for this one. Pours very dark black with lots of wood and smoke in the aroma. The flavor was lots of the same with tons of smoke and oak with some of the whiskey coming through as well. A big stout that has managed to set itself apart from all of the bourbon barrel aged stouts. Overall very enjoyable, and a really nice sipper.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
C-Bus 7: Bottle shared by LeopoldStotch acquired from Lars at DLD: Poured a dark brown to black with a tan head. Aroma, smoky, chocolate, some woody notes. Flavor, chocolate, roasted malts, very smoky, oak. The Islay whiskey barrel really comes through nicely and made for a great twist on the barrel aged Imperial Stout. There was a dry roastiness to it on the end. Alcohol was well hidden. Really enjoyable beer.
