COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Every year the Danish Beer Enthusiasts celebrates Øllets dag - "the Day of Beer". And every year we brew a beer for this special occasion. This year it is a strong flavoured, dry India Pale Ale matured for several weeks on Golding hops and toasted American oak providing it with strong flowery notes balanced by vanilla and wood aromas from the oak. The flavor is slightly sweet with a long bitter and dry finish from the combination of wood and hops.
7,0% ABV * 17P * 90 IBU
Ølfabrikken Oak IPA is available on keg and cask for a short period of time. Of course unpasteurized and unfiltered like all of our beers.

One of the better oaked IPA/IIPA’s I have had, not harsh at all but at the same time not sleazy sweet. A good refreshing, light bodied and smooth IPA with a additional nice character.

Draught at Plan B murky copper beer with small head. The aroma is of floral hops and with some caramel notes. The flavour is hoppy - mostly of the citrussy and flowery kind. The oak gives it some vanilla and wood flavours. Quite soft and well balanced beer.

Grovlam (4157) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 18, 2008
Draught @ Plan B. Large thick creamy head that mostly lasted. Light cloudy amber color. Good display of lacework. Lovely pine, grapefruit, pineapple aroma with a hint of wood like dryness. Over the palate heavy mix of fruit and hops in an excellent combination. Peach, apricot, caramel, wood. Full bodied with a dry texture and an average carbonation. Dry somewhat lingering sweet hoppy assent. Smooth and not as aggressive as expected. Very nice!

Tap @ Plan B, Cph. Pours a very hazy amber with a great yellow-beige creamy head - lots of beautiful lacing and good duration. Aroma is powerfully hoppy, citric, pineapple, pine and light vanilla. Super creamy and dry mouthfeel. Flavour is very bitter, begins woody, balanced out by caramel. Powerfully bitter, lightly tart and good dryness.

Draught at Plan B
Beautiful color, hazy amber; creamy head, sticky lace. Generic hoppy aroma, malt, some vanilla. Medium body strength, less than expected, dry mouthfeel, caramel and toffee flavor, no sweetness, harsh bitterness and some vanilla. Dry and bitter end. Chaotic.
