COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When it the weather gets cold enough we brew bottom-fermented beers at Ølfabrikken. Based on a fairly traditional malt-bill consisting of German Pilsener malt, light caramel malt and a bit of Munich this beer is unconventionally hopped with American Glacier hops adding notes of citrus and peach, but without overpowering the malts. Ølfabrikken Pilsner is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and cask conditioned like all of our beers. Introduced on 'Københavnske Øldage 2006' and official contestant in the pilsener contest.

Average pilsner. On the boring side. Might as well drink something else. Needs more hops. Too yeasty to my taste.

Duft: normalt kedelig pilsner duft. dog ikke nogle underlig ubehagelige dufte som i andre billige pilsner Smag: blod og rund i smagen. meget fin smag af malt. god fornemmelse af øllet i lang tid.

Can(s). ;-) Looks yellow (drinking from can). Malty and hoppy aroma. Taste is what can be expected form a pilsner - of malt, hops and floral notes. Reminds me of a HOF (Carlsberg) but this one is pretty generic and even more boring. Mouthfeel has no edge - it’s too bleurgh. Average at best.

Can at home. Mellow nose, malt, sweet, citrus, nice 'quite' blend. Slightly dark yellow clear color, small white head. Light to medium body, crisp palate, small sweetness, small bitterness. :) Bolton Brew.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Simple basic pilsner. Generally inoffensive but nothing to differentiate it from any innumerable others.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2012 Can. Golden colour with a white head. Light citric hoppy aroma. Mostly malt flavour, but with a nice hoppy background.

Draught. Hazy, light golden with thin white head. Spicy aroma with malt, sweetness, alcohol, perfume and flowers. Flavour is sweet with perfume, clover, malt and a light bitterness.

Bottle. Golden pale look and medium bitterness. But the final impression is an unbalanced beer.

Hazy orange with a nice white head (and it really is white white) that drew a nice bit of lace in the glass. Quite nice hoppy aroma with a bit of citrus and flowers. A bit more round flavourwise than most pilseners and thus probably not as refreshing as the best of them. Also has more of a malt flavour and a nice mellow touch. Very good effort and a shame it’s retired.
