COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editors note: This beer has both been brewed in Denmark and at Het Anker in Mechelen, Belgium.

The first in a range of Ølfabrikken special ales. This brew is a hybrid of a British strong bitter and a Belgian blonde ale. With its refreshing bitterness from Goldings hops and spicy sweetness from a bit of rye it is the ideal thirst quencher for the hot days in Northern Sealand. Ølfabrikken Tisvilde Blonde is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and bottle conditioned like all of our beers.

From Bottle at Kobehavnske Oldage, May 2006. Not one of Olfabrikken’s more distinctive or distinguished offerings. The concept sounds more interesting than the reality. There is a little Belgian yeast character. Some tart fruit. Not a huge amount of hop in evidence. Nothing bad here, just not as exciting as usual from Olfabrikken.

Bottle. Clear golden amber colour with huge white head. Malt, citrus and camomile in aroma. Mild and sweet flavour, yet spiced with orange and comomile which adds a sligtly bitter aftertaste. The cascade hops are quite discrete but can be sensed in the aroma after a while. This bottle has been in my cellar for more than a year.

Bottle, 75cl corked. A golden, slightly unclear pours leaves a big, creamy off-white head. Nice lacings. Slightly funky aroma with a touch of banana and a little grains. Grainy, fruity and hoppy flavor with banana and bitterness. A little warming in the mouth, full-bodied and quite dry. Hoppy, bitter finish. A really nice one with a quite low ABV. (080620)

750 ml corked bottle. Big dense white head with long duration. Cloudy yellow-golden body. Fresh sweetish citrus aroma, floral and spicy notes. Crisp fruity and hoppy taste. Properly light-bodied. Lots of delicate bittering hops in the finish. A lovely, easy drinkable summer beverage.

500ml bottle. Almost clear, sparkling (like Deus) orange body with a big off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral and a bit spicy. Flavor is refreshing, quite light, sweet fruity and harmonic. Not complicated but damn pleasant.
