COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: Ølfabrikken Winter Ale is a complex double fermented ale brewed to the Danish vinter We have fermented this ale with two different yeast strains - first an english ale yeast and next a belgian abbey-ale yeast. It provides an unique combination of fruitiness and robustness backed up by six different malts and beet sugar and belgian candi sugar. Serving: With its malty taste and subdued bitterness this ale is the perfect companion for the lightly spiced, traditional danish vinterdishes with dark meat and vegetables. Ølfabrikken Vinter Ale is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and bottle conditioned like all of our beers.

75cl bottle at home. bbf 3-1-2010 pours caramelly amber with a large thick offwhite head. very nice sweet, hoppy and spicy aroma. pine, honey, faint dark fruits. a little barley wineish cellary note. flavor is caramelly sweet, spicy (pepper, anise), raisins, dark fruits, strong. alc blends well into the strong flavor. great brew. barley wine meets ipa meets belgian ale. tasty!

Bottle@home Apperance: Redbrownish with a small head. Some lacing. Aroma: Caramel, Yeast, Fruit, Bread. Flavor: Caramel, Dark Fruit, Bread, Spices, Coffee. Palate: Nice warming feeling with plenty of taste and a hint of alcohol at the end. Medium carbonation. A decent dubbel that i’d like to get my hands on sometime again. Better than your average dubbel for sure!
