2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 RexTalionis (1425) - FINLAND - DEC 1, 2012
Bottle 75 cl. BBE 1/12/2017. Sweet, more to the portwine in aroma. Quite strong and boozy on taste, some salty notes along with soya sauce in taste. Something wrong with the bottle? A bit weird in taste, some old coffee perhaps too. Some bitterness in aftertaste

Taste is smooth and salty roasty with notes of licorice, honey and ash, mild hints of chocolate as well. Finish is warming and smooth with some roastiness, licorice and honey. Nice, quite tasty and well aged porter.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 timfoolery (883) - California, USA - OCT 14, 2012
Bottle from The Beer Stein back in 2008. This beer was infected, as there was some sourness to it...not like the other ratings here.

(750ml bottle best by 1/12/2017, brewed 11/12/2007) dark brown, soapy tan bubbles. Nose of honey, fudge, rich, oyster, so unique, liking the oxidation here. Smells so good. Taste of fudge, milk chocolate, dry, oyster or some other unique flavor, rich and awesome. Unique, rich and awesome.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 CaraCurtis (98) - USA - JUN 30, 2012
Head appeance is impressive considering the age of this beer.
I cannot believe this is porter. It tastes closer to a ris rather than a porter. Pours black, thin tan colored head. The aroma is honey, chocolate malt and an aging funkiness. This beer tasts like it is on the brink of turning sour, however because it has yet to turn, the flavors are bold and delicious. The chocolate and booze are deceptive but blend perfectly with sweet flavors of honey and molasses.
Delicious beer.
Cheers~
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 kylefleeger (102) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUN 30, 2012
Beer is from 2005 and i cannot believe it. It tastes more like an imperial stout than a porter. The differences between this beer and the standard porter (which i love ) is the honey and more bubbly mouth feel in this than the standard porter. Wonderful
