UPDATED: NOV 29, 2008 (Bottled, 0.75l) Dark, reddish brown with a very small, fading head. Tarry, sweetish-malty aroma with olives, raisins and other dried fruit. Dried-fruity, slightly sweet and licoricey-malty, pretty salty flavor with some anise. Quite full-bodied, smooth and medium-carbonated palate. A very nice and smooth Baltic Porter.

Black with a lasting light brown head. Chocolate, vanilla and much alcohol in the aroma. Rather sweet flavour with way too dominating alcohol.

Skinnyviking (7235) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 20, 2008
Bottle. High creamy and long llasting brown head. Pitch black body. A bit sharp and alcohol dominated aroma of coffee and cocoa. Powerful and somewhat bitter coffee cocoa flavor and alcohol as well, though not in a disturbing amount. Low carbonation and a long bitter aftertaste. Could not taste the honey but assume it is removing some of the bitterness.

Bottel. DØE tasting. This one is not to my liking, maybe it just needs more time, so i will purchase one and keep for not less than a year.

Bottle, 75cl. DØE Porter/Stout tasting. The beer pours black, with a darkbrown head. The aroma is chocolate, with slight notes of earth/grass from the hops. The flavor is chocolate, with notes of alcohol. The mouthfeel is a rounded feeling, overall a great beer. This beer would gain a lot with ageing.

Pours black with a small off-white diminishing head. Quite sweet with roasted malt aromas. Hints of smoke and chocolate. Very full bodied. Nicely balanced between sweetness and the heavy alcohol aromas. Also dark fruit aromas of detes. Dry, alco warming finish.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Completely opaque black with a small, rough, light brown head. Intense aroma of burned malt, tar and alcohol. Very full in the body with distinct notes of burned malt, vanilla, dried fruit before the distinctly burned, malt bitter finish. A very potent brew. 281207

75 cL bottle, bought directly from the bottling belt. Pours dark brown with a dense milk chocolate head. Aroma is roasted malt, solid chocolate malt and with a very mild roasted/smoked note. Thick mouthfeel. Flavour is soft and smooth chocolate malt, roasted and slight smoked with a mild meady note. Smooth and smoked in a fantastic blend. Extremely smooth finish and with nice edges of mead and roasted notes into the far finish. Slight alcohol presence.
