Another really good beer from Olfabrikken. Bottle from Jesper at RBSG 08. Sweet, malty and a little smokey and peaty aroma. Very good.

It was good of Akevitt to share this rare beer. Grain and alcohol in the aroma, along with lager yeast. Lots of malt in the flavor, as well as red wine. Very vinous with teh character of a Baltic porter. Very well done. A thick, sticky beer. I wish I could get this again. Thanks Jason.

Botlle. Pours beautyful black with a brownish head. Aroma is great with bitter chocolate, raisins and coffee. Flavour is soft with a lot of chocolate, raisins and coffee. Stunning.

(bottle, thanks Marsiblursi!!) Pours black with a tan head. Strong aroma of honey, raisin, brown sugar, and chocolate. The taste is very similar to the aroma and is full of chocolate, sweet honey, and raisins, that gives way to just a lightly roasted finish with a medium mouthfeel. The high alcohol never makes its presence known. This beer is very well done and incredibly drinkable.

Thanks to Oslo and Guerde. Dark brown pour with a light brown head. Smells of seals at a zoo. Black liquorice and some cocoa in the taste.

Bottle, 2005 Vintage. Thanks to OSLO and Guerde for sharing. The beer was opaque black with tan foam. In the aroma there was sweet chocolate, coffee, burnt malt, and some faint hops. In the flavor there was sweet mild burnt malt, coffee, and alchol. This brewery hasn’t let me down yet!

Bottled. Black with a small, beige head. Licorice, coffee and tar in abundance. Thick and oily, soylike palate.

Bottled at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Black with small pale brown head. Rich coffee aroma where the honey is surprisingly evident. Sweet and grainy with full body. Thick with licorice, coffee and chocolate. Finishes with salty fudge, tar and a walth of warming alcohol. Potent, compact and warming - a good winter beer.
