Grain and alcohol in the aroma, along with lager yeast. Lots of malt in the flavor, as well as red wine. Very vinous with teh character of a Baltic porter. Very well done. A thick, sticky beer. I wish I could get this again. Thanks Jason. dunkpigen (328), Kolding, Denmark

Strong aroma of honey, raisin, brown sugar, and chocolate. The taste is very similar to the aroma and is full of chocolate, sweet honey, and raisins, that gives way to just a lightly roasted finish with a medium mouthfeel. The high alcohol never makes its presence known. This beer is very well done and incredibly drinkable. KAF (441), Coralville, Iowa, USA

Rich coffee aroma where the honey is surprisingly evident. Sweet and grainy with full body. Thick with licorice, coffee and chocolate. Finishes with salty fudge, tar and a walth of warming alcohol. Potent, compact and warming - a good winter beer.
