In King Arthur's fabled kingdom of Camelot, mead was a symbol of camaraderie among the Knights of the Round Table and the quiet promise of love between the knights and their ladies. Camelot Mead is Oliver Winery's revival of this historic libation. Made from pure honey, it is delightful served chilled with fruit and light cheeses.

Bottle. Earthy flower and herbal honey aroma. Pale yellow. Sweet honey and light herbal hay flavor. Nice body. Very nice and at $6.99 for 750 mL a huge bargain.

Pours clear yellow. Aromas of honey and waxy comb. Flavor is floral honey fairly sweet with hints of wax. Mild tones of grape and apple. A solid mead for sure.

Really sweet with honey aftertaste. Floral aroma. Nearly clear white. Tastes like a white wine with a touch of honey more than it does a mead. Pretty average.

Light glowing yellow.Looks somewhat thin. Nice honey aromas, light delicate.sweet pears, light caramel buttery. Impressed with first taste, light honey, sweet caramel notes, good balanced finish. Kinda like chaucers (Im aware of haters but I kinda like that one) but less sweet and lighter. Good. Im new to meads, had a few but this seems entry level, basic but still what I would expect out of honey in a good way.Nice and pleasant. Good finish.

Bottle. Pours almost water white. Really clean floral notes in the nose. Still. Soft and some white grape notes to go with floral. Somewhat generic, quite light overall and clean. On tasting, mid-dry with botanics and a light honey component. It’s a pretty standard traditional, lacks a bit of depth/complexity but that’s like due to the neutral honey. Good balance overall. Nice enough.

Clear straw colored. Bright aroma of honey, lemonade, and a little beeswax. Very smooth and sweet and balanced. Sweet estery yet slightly watery honey tones, some light citrus notes, and a little doughy/waxy yeast ester. Lovely. Not too sweet, and plenty of flavor.

750 ml bottle to snifter. Looks decent; a transparent still light-honey. Smells sweet; similar to chardonnay. Tastes alright; semi-sweet for a honeywine. Average on the palate. An okay no-frills example of the style.

Bottle from TWM McLean - clear pale yellow, no head, still. Aroma is faint. Taste is on the sweet side. Palate is thin. Ho hum, boring classic mead.
