Solid mild beer...That’s what its supposed to be. Nice winter session beer ala wood burning stove... A bit of smoke on the nose, malt comes thru nicely clean and simple. Perhaps a bit aggressively carbonated. Intrigued to try in cask. Why is it OK to have session/ day time IPA s but for those of us who do not want to be constantly choked with hops this is a good choice.

Draft at PSA. Pours very clear reddish copper brown with a fizzy off white head. Tastes nutty, roasted, with a light buttery, earthy creaminess. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like roasted grains, toast, and light nuttiness.

Pours a slightly hazy amber. Thin head. Slight sweetness. Not much flavor at all. Finishes dry.

Overall a drinkable beer that is good for session drinking. The name doesn’t fit the beer in my opinion

hazy amber, beige cream head lasts, low lacing. Watery mineral nose, earthy peanut butter. Flavor shows burnt sugar, light grain bitterness through toasty finish. Thin, caramelly profile with spritzy carbonation.

Tap at Pratt St Alehouse. Pours a clear, deep reddish amber. Decent tan head. Nose is muted. Taste is bland, gritty chocolate, metallic, tangy. Odd. Some lemon juice in the nose. Body gains vegetables and sharp astringency. Minerally. Drinkable compared to the other beers on tap.

I drank a lot of this over the weekend. It pours a rich russet colour with a foamy light brown head. Aromas of caramel, chocolate and a faint spicy note. Taste, some caramel, a bit of chocolate, no one thing dominating. The body is just a hair shy of medium, yet the beer is very moreish. A very, very nice mild.

On tap at Pratt. Pours a just clear caramel brown with a thin white head. Soft toast, roast, malt, cocoa. Medium bodied, chocolate and cocoa, yeast, roast, cocoa. Smooth and malty, cocoa, easy drinking with a light bitter finish.

Tap. Pours nut brown with average, creamy beige head; decent retention and spare lacing. Aroma is caramel and toasted malt, figs, cherries, earthy hops, and light hazelnut. Flavor is sweet malt forward with good supporting dark fruit esters and light hops; semi-sweet finish. Light body, low carbonation, and low warmth.

Tap at Pratt Street - Dark amber/brown - a well-executed mild, with moderate mineral/burtonized character, light fruitiness, a bit toasty, with a small touch of toffee on the tail end - mostly dry, though, with some Biscuity notes on the tail end - tasty.
