Although fermented with English yeast, this brew is bittered with Chinook and Cascade hops and finished by dry-hopping with Cascade hops.

n cask at Churchkey. Served in a pint glass. Pours an orange-copper color with a thick, foamy white head and great retention. Lots of lacing as it goes down. The nose consists mostly of orange and citrus hops with a bit of a floral character in the background. Makes sense since this version was dry-hopped with Cascade. Flavor is orange and citrus as well. Light bread in the background. Light body with good cask carbonation and a dry, bitter finish. Recommended.

Cask. Pours clear copper with average, creamy white head; good retention and lacing. Aroma is floral and citrus hops, caramel malt, citrus fruit, and light yeast. Flavor is hops forward with good supporting malt and faint fruit esters; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation with low/medium warmth.

On tap at the brewpub, Charm City. Thanks, Mike! Nice full medium orange pour with a thick creamy head, tons of lacing. Hefty body, cask-like even (though it wasn’t on cask), and a nose of what seemed like Fuggles and Cascade (or possibly Columbus, something quite leafy and dry). Flavor was a bit brighter, with some tropical fruit coming through along with a smidge of bitter rind. Decent but not particularly memorable IPA.

Transparent amber, thin oily white island with ample lacing. Nose is citrus, copper resin, and orange, bit flat and diacetyl. Flavor shows light diacetyl, orange up front before sticky sweet mid is overtaken by cleaning products and dough.

On draft at Punk’s Backyard Grill in Annapolis. The beer is bright orange colored with a half inch of head that leaves ample lacing on the glass. Terrific balance here. Delicious bready malts mingle beautifully with floral hops. This beer tastes super fresh. Hops do stand out more than malt, as I prefer, but I would still say this beer strives for balance rather than being a hop bomb. Lingering floral & hop notes in the aftertaste. Medium bodied with a great feel. Recommended. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 01-18-2012

20120204 Tap at PSA. Pleasant c-hop aroma, a touch of diacetyl and soapiness. thicker bodied and a bit on the sweet side. Would be good with a greasy meal, but a bit much for just a few pints.

Cask at Pizza Paradiso (Dupont). Pours orange with some head and no lacing. Notes of tangerine, maybe some apricot and some grassy hops. Medium bitterness and light sweet. Light body. Not bad.

Cask @ The Big Hunt. A pretty nice cask IPA, not too chewey or hard to get through. A nice warm mix of fresh hops and medium malt.
