3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Pratt. Pours a clear ruby to brown amber with a medium sized white to beige head. Soft malt, light toast, very subtle hops. Soft sweetness, light malt. Tastes a bit like a barley tea, dry and nutty with some nice toasty elements. Toast, faint sweetness into a smooth gentle bitterness. The pint did pick up some gentle umami and toasted sesame oil notes as it warmed.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at City Tap House. Pours a clear reddish brown color with a thin creamy off white head. The aroma and flavor have a nice roasted malt and creamy chocolate character with a more subtle fruitiness that runs throughout. Some earthy hops add a hint of bitterness to the finish. This had a smooth mouthfeel and medium body. Served at the right temperature made this a nice surprise for the evening.
