Tap at Max’s Taphouse. Pours clear dark brown with a small, fizzy off-white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is caramel and cookie malt with dates and figs, light roast malt with earthy and pine hops. Flavor is heavy hops and medium bitterness with supporting sweet malt, dark fruity esters and a dry finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

Tap. Pours dark brown with thin, creamy beige head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is earthy and floral hops, light ash, roasted and chocolate malts, figs, and light woody notes. Flavor is a good balance of roast malts and earthy hops (light bitterness) with good supporting dark fruit esters and light smoke; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.
