Tap. Pours deep dark brown with average, creamy beige head; decent retention and spare lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, milk chocolate, coffee, light smoke, caramel, and dates. Flavor is sweet malt dominate with heavy milk chocolate and some dark fruit esters; creamy mouthfeel with a lightly sweet finish. Light body and low carbonation.

Tap at the source. Pours black with a large, creamy, tight-bubbled tan head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is chocolate and nutty malt, dates, and earthy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with light lactose notes, and a sweet finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

On cask 4 oz. pour at Meridian Pint in Columbia Heights, Washington, DC.
Opaque, black-brown with no head or lacing.
Aroma of roasted malt, sweet milk chocolate and sweet dark fruit.
Taste of roasted malt, sweet milk chocolate and sweet dark fruit.
Light/medium body and no carbonation.

Full pour cask at Churchkey. Poured a dark brown/black color with not much of a head to speak of - perhaps some wispy notes, little soapy bubbles here and there. Mouthfeel was a little thin, but was refreshing enough that I didn’t mind. Great for a mid-afternoon sessionable brew.
