COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A classic English Brown Ale, smooth with a full body. The grist bill contains a bit of chocolate malt giving this beer a slightly sweet character and is properly balanced with the right amount of Challenger and Fuggle hops.

Draft pour at Churchkey. Poured a slightly hazy, murky brown color with a small, almost non-existent white head. Aroma was sweet malts, nutty, touch of vanilla.

Draft at Churchkey. Hazy brown, small tan head. Aroma of oil soaked wood, vanilla. Taste is softly sour dark summer fruit. Creative example of the style.

This was a very decent brown ale with a smooth body. Nothing special but still a good beer.

4 oz sample at Churchkey. Cask. Clear dark amber, bubbly large head. Aroma is nutty, butter, cream. Taste of mild nutty malt, bread. I’m not a huge fan of cask beers usually but this one is pretty good, it’s not overly thing, but still thinner than I am used to obviously.

Location: On tap at the Pratt Street Ale House, 9/6/09

Aroma: Caramel malts mostly, some nuttiness
Appearance: Brown color, dark beige head
Flavor: Similar to the nose, malty up-front, and a bit of hops in the finish 6/7
Palate: Medium-body 3/4
Overall Impression: Found this to be a decent brown, the hops in the finish improved the flavor and added some balance to the all malt nose. A decent beer.
