chriso (4420), London, Greater London, England Mar 27, 2007 750 ml bottle, from Hop Pocket Wines. A pale gold/straw coloured still Perry. The aroma has some woody notes and a touch of petrol but not much farmyard character. Rather wine-like. Not unlike a dry Riesling. That impression continues onto the palate. Bone dry. Highly attenuated, with not much residual fruit. Tart mouthfeel, with light tannins, finishing slightly acidic. Quite refined but not packed with traditional character. A Perry to drink with food.
