3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Tallinna Kaubamaja food department in July 2014. Pours a murky, dark orange-brown; creamy head, retains well. Aroma of good home-cooked rye bread (or the kind they make at Hetk or the neighbouring Spirit); dark raisins and plums, also some roastiness and hop bitterness. Taste is sweet, bready and rather bitter; much like root beer. Medium body and low to medium carbonation, a rather soft mouthfeel (near watery); sour / hoppy finish (kind of rubbery even). Definitely a weird one. Not bad though.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Drink Shop, Tallinn. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is rich roasted doughy malt. The flavour is strong bitter with a light malt, liqourice bitter, light smoke light medicinal palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A rather different ale and rather drinkable.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Ehh. Not just on hedonism scale (again, the hoppier stuff I don’t enjoy), but the unique taste, if any, of the rye is largely lost amidst the hops and the added sugar. Nice attempt, not something I’d choose again

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Smells like black bread, bit sweet and sour. Bread, fruit. Tastes quite same as smells. Nice balance of sweet and sour. A must to try for all black bread fans (Estonians :)). Love the taste notes on unfiltered and unpasteurized beer.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Terrible color. Even after a time to settle there are floaty yeast bits floating.Smells sharp and sour, dry, bit watery. For those who love black bread, but maybe others would not enjoy it so much.
