3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Couple of bottles in Tallinn poured a murky amber with with cloudy, white head. Nose is solid, grainy, bready, mild orange, some soap. Flavor follows, more grain and bread than caramel, orange, soap, light straw. Finishes dry, crisp.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark brown and small but stable head. Aroma starts out between a Belgian dark ale and an Irish ale perhaps. Sweet, somewhat dark fruity fermentation and from there steady it’s more herbal and lots of licorice malts character. Full flavoured, very nice. Great brew, actually different too. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bičre)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
My Bottom Line:
This earthy and bitter rye beer delves into leafy, fall-like rusticity for a compelling quencher.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the cloudy coppery brown.
-Carbonation is too low to make this flavor profile shine.
-Drinkability and character coexist nicely in this one though.
-Rye malt flavors aren’t as well developed as in their Rukki Kuningas.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
BOTTLE 33 CL. Almost no head. Mostly dry, toasted bread (the spicier, not sweet variety), spicy bitter finish. Good.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle. Dark brown colour with average to huge, firm, frothy to macropore, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Bready, toasty, dark malty and minimally herbal aroma, a touch of caraway. Taste is dry, bready dark malty, hints of dark bread, pumpernickel, cautious hints of treacle; way too fizzy carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a dark brown, blackish beer with a massive tanned, bubbly head on top. Aroma of sweet fruits. herbal rye influences and a tad roast. Flavor is sweet, some red fruits in there, elements of the rye and some toastiness as well. Quite enjoyble, medium carbonation and short, light sweet finish. Pretty good.

[9/25/15] Bottle sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2015 in Bodegraven. Thanks everyone who shared bottles! Murky amber. Malt, caramel, yeast, a bit of spiciness, toast. Sweetish with a bitterish finish.
