Dark color and light brown tops. This is I thinks rather more powerful then the Suitsu Porter. Ash-i-smoke that hits you on the mouth, and of course its bitter, slightly sour but sweet at the same time. Raisins, rum, oven-cooked apples, the ash-smoke sour-sweet side hits most. Alc-s ok. Nice work.

Pours black with almost no top. Aroma- intense, massive malty-yesaty with hints of roast, black chocolate, sweet-caramely, some raisins. Taste is sweetish with medium+ bitter from darkest malts, no hops flavor. Thick, syrupy texture, slick one with roasted bitter, sweetish aftertaste. Pleasant.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2015 Black, medium brown head. Fruity and spicy aroma. Smooth, full-bodied. Balanced bittersweet, roasty and somewhat spicy, some notes of... gingerbread? Rather nice, I’d have another.

(Õllenaut Lumelausuja) Bottle 330 ml from jookos, thanks! Served into a snifter, ABV 7.9% Pours black with a small and a bit thin brown head sitting on top, good retention though. Light lacing left behind. Nice aroma, hoppy with citrus, grass, light chocolate too on the back. Taste is also hoppy and somewhat fruity, citrus, light orange peel, roasted malts on the finish, light chocolate, coffee, some dark fruits. Medium body, good carbonation. Very good this one.

Quite a complex malty beer with a medium body and hop presence. Taste of roast, chocolate and some hop bitterness for finish. I think there is too much carbonation and it gets better when it settles. Overall very enjoyable.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2014 33cl Bottle. Batch 006. BBE 17/12/2016(5?) Aged for a year. Aroma of rye, charcoal, molasses and a little bit of basement mold. Pours clear dark brown, with tan creamy head. Some lacing. Pours clear, since half of the body settled thickly inside the bottle. Gently sweet, roasted and smokey stout. A faint hint of raw beef in the aftertaste. Medium bodied. Oily and slightly velvety. Starting to become dry. Another surprising aftertaste is fried Baltic herring after a minute or so. Close to flat carbonation. A good foreign stout overall. Took +1 year well. Lets see how the latest batch does.

Bottle from Špunka (€ 2.70 - I’m not kidding! A week later it was 3.70 though). Batch 067; BB Sept 2017. Pours dark brown, head is light beige and brief. Nose is liquorice and bitter hops, roasted malts, red berries, kind of tart even. It’s got this Dubbel-like character minus the caramel. Quite interesting I should say. Taste not overly sweet, loads of cranberry-like tart bitterness, in the end boozy too. Some chocolaty notes. Good balance between sweet and bitter. Body medium plus, carbonation just enough, palate malty and kind of ashy dry, finishes with faint lingering bitterness.

Overall quite pleasant. One of the best from Õllenaut.

330 ml bottle. It pours very dark brown with a small beige head. The nose is roasted malt, coffee grinds and toast. The taste is roasted malt, chocolate, earth, decent bitterness, coffee, mild acidity, ash and dark fruit with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Well balanced and rather flavoursome. Good stuff.

Bottle. Black. Dark bread malty, some chocolate. Full soft body, somewhat charred ashy finish. Good though. Bit wooden roastyness, soft malty slight milky middle. Real nice strong stout.
