3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: DEC 3, 2013 For summers drink this would perhaps be a thirst extinguisher, nice, balanced, enough hops, good complexity and mostly recalls grapefruit from sweetness to bitter.
Still the very first impression was "More Simcoe hops!!!", since this is almost winter and although I admire this beer, it would only compete with the best when having a stronger character.

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Has a distinct aftertaste. Goes well after a long day. I sense some caramel, banana, floral notes. Foam hazy, cloudy, frothy, medium sweetness, slick feel. medium body. Nice!

Nice foam. A lot of fruits, some pine. Quite bitter and sweet the same time. All and all an enjoyable amerina pale ale.

3.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Served in a bar. Foam dissipates quickly. Taste is good, fruity, easy to drink. Hops are a bit dank. A heavy pale ale.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33cl bottle as a gift in Tallinn. Pours slightly hazy deep golden with a small head. Hoppy and moderate fruity aroma with citrus, hints of pine and herbs. Moderate sweet with a fairly nice bitterness. A bit watery but nice enough. (2014-02-02)

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Batch 008. Best before01/07/2014.
Hazy bronze/orange colour with small head.
Very malty and sweet aroma, caramel and hint of tropical fruits.
Sweet tropical fruits, citrus and hops on taste, light bitter. Not very fresh.
Light and thin body with soft carbonation.
Dry, little bitter, grassy and bit sweet finish.
Needs much more body and crispiness. Good start but clearly not there yet.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Great taste trip, enjoyed it all the way! Great balance of aroma and taste. Hops just right. Was expecting haze mentioned by earlier raters, but my Simko had none - perhaps I just had enough patience and served it right. Will buy some more for enjoying in cosy wintertime.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
33cl batch 001.
Aroma of hops, some yeast and sugar water. A bit to pale for APA, but the head stays till the very last drop. Extremely hoppy and higher abv - that is why it is not APA bu IPA. Bitter and peachy at start, slighlty sweet in the middle and sharp, abrupt finish. Here is where the body of the beer is really important - this brew is too thin. It is not bad, but it is surprisingly watery for its hoppiness. Beautiful lively carbonation though. Definitely a surprising beer from local brewers, worth a try.
I would say that it is overrated and overhyped. It is slightly similar to Anchor Liberty Ale, but still is far behind.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle, 0.33 l - batch 008 - BB 01/07/2014, at Drink Baar, 20131222) The beer poured amber and quite clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had resin, fruitiness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were resin, fruitiness, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A nicely done pale ale.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330 ml bottle from Drink Shop. Nice foamy top that stays well, colour is somewhat dirty copper. Aroma has a lot of hop freshness, floral and blossoming with some notes of green banana. Taste is a bit bitter at first - and even more bitter after that. Grapefruit peels multiplied. Bitterness does not feel very balanced - nor very fresh - for me it’s a bit overdoing it, especially for a relatively weak body that this beer has. Something sweet in the aftertaste that feels nice. Overall, a good attempt from a completely new brewery and quite sure I am going to have this again!
