Chopp. Dark brown colour, beige head. Roastish malty caramel rye sweet like aroma. Good mouthfeel. Sweet like flavour, roastish malty, caramel, rye, some chocolate to it too. Sweet.

Draft. A deep red beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of rye, phenols, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, rye, caramel, and phenols, leading to a dry finish. Seems to have a fermenting flaw.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2013 From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy dark brown with a deep amber glare and a small tan head. Aroma is mild fruity and caramelish malty. Toasted malty, fruity, bitter and dry malty to caramelish. Bitter and light herbal, vague soapy. Bitter and dry toasted malty finish. Bitter, bone dry and slight toasted malty into the far finish.
