Can from Tbone, thanks! Dark brown color. Grainy aroma and flavor with apple syrup and a hint of cheap milk chocolate. Sweetish, short aftertaste. Sticky mouthfeel. Disappointing.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Bov (8204) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - MAY 15, 2010
canned; courtesy of oh6gdx - clear ruby-brown colour with a little beige foam left; toasted aroma of toffee with light metallic notes; sweet and rather thin-bodied, low bitterness and with a moderate aftertaste of toasted caramelish malts - gentle
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 FatPhil (7498) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 10, 2009
500ml can - nicked from sauna dude.
Very much like a watered down version of the old Olvi Tumma/Kraft full malt beer. Same rich roast, almost slightly stale coffee-groundsy, but without the full malty backbone of the other. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was just a dodgy rebadge with a cheaper formula. Still, I do like that roast, good for 4.3%
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 chriso (7254) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 21, 2009
50 cl Can @ pre-GBBF shindig, August 2009. Not much to say about this one. Darkish brown. Sweetish. Some caramel and a bit of paper. Hardly good but not too horrible.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 MesandSim (7118) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 11, 2009
A Mes rate: bottle at the ever brilliant Chris O’s Pre GBBF Extravaganza. Much more like a dark lager than a dunkel if you ask me. A little raw and underbrewed. Lots of caramel and extremely fizzy. Crap.

Can at the legend of chriso’s pre GBBF09 tasting. Alround rating: Raw wort, roasty caramel, thin and overly carbonated. Very bad indeed.
2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 SilkTork (4898) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, WALES - AUG 2, 2009
Chriso Shindig Aug 2009. I had this in my notes as Sandels Dark Beer - 4.3%. It’s a light tasting beer - like a Vienna lager more than a Dunkel. Niot much character or flavour, but drinkable enough. Interesting that Olvi export this to Russia using the name of Johan August Sandels as promotion, as Sandels was the Finnish general who defeated their attempt to conquer Finland. Also curious that the can is in English!
