COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The respected war hero colonel Johan August Sandels was a skilled tactician also at negotiations. Once, when a negotiation for an armistice was coming to a dead end, Sandels suggested a lunch break. The salted meat was washed down with plenty of beer, and soon the enemy sent his messenger to give the word that the negotiations appear to take a long time.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2008 Bottle 0.33 l. Smooth thick head on a basic lagery golden color. Sweet, malty nose. Flavor is smooth, malty with even some sweet hoppiness and caramel. Flavorful and balanced with smooth carb. I would say a bit underscored here.

Pale golden in colour, quickly dissipating thin white head, no lacing. The aroma is grainy, some pale malts, cereal, light floral hops. The flavour is crisp and grainy, lots of cereal malts, some metal. Thin mouthfeel, watery body, medium carbonation. Finishes watery and thin, medium length, lightly bitter. Nothing really much to offer.

500ml can bought in Helsinki, Finland, best before November 2006.

Dorqui (1768) - Brescia, ITALY - JUN 2, 2006
Canned 0,50L. Compact head of medium duration. Yellow gold color rather limpid and little bubbly one. A lot gaunt and watery scent, simple and with light notes of wishy-washy cereals. Lightly pungent and inconsistent taste. Much watery and washed out, little balanced and little pleasant end. Rejected. Thanks to mabjork for this beer.

Light golden, pretty carbonated, thin white head, which disappears quickly, no lace. Aroma is rather mild, somewhat flowery, dry, notes of metal. Light, pretty carbonated body. Flavor is moderately bitter, a bit dry, moderately malty. Medium length finish.

Bottled: Golden with a rapidly diminishing head. Not much aroma. Slight bitterness through the middle of the taste, no aftertaste. These Finnish lagers, like their reviews, are getting repetitive.

Canned. Golden colour with big foamy head. Mildly hoppy aroma with some sweet hints. Sweet malty flavour, a bit metallic. "Biting" carbonation. Boring lager.

The usual pale lager-color. A small head. It smells quite bad though. Like old beer. But it tastes a lot better than it smells. Nice and rounded and a bit sweet. But all in all, not very exciting.

Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 20, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 14, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Golden beer with a huge head. Almost no feel of malt nor of hops. But on the other hand this has an extremely smooth and soft mouthfeel and is very easy to drink. But no real exciting lager. 160405
