2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours light golden with a high head. Aroma grass, bread. Slightly metallic, but not the worst offender. Low palate and watery overall. Pretty much as expected.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
500ml can (K Kamppi, Helsinki)
I was supping from the can and got a nice smoky hit to the aroma. However, that can had shared a fridge with our yummy cooking, and Anna’s glass had none of that aspect. Shame, as without that there’s really bugger all there, maybe just a slight milky light grain aspect. Pours with a reasonably thick head compared to the last can of macro piss, but it’s still almost entirely transient. Colour ain’t so bad, quite a pleasant pale orange. In the mouth you get a smack of metallic malts immediately, the malty side’s nice, but the metallic side’s dire. Retronasals have a lot of dank brown paper to give up too, niiiiice. First gulp filled me with horrors, indescribable and even if I did describe them, they’d be censorred for reasons of good taste. Second gulp’s less horrific, more like Olvi’s usual fingerprint - still not good. Plenty of metal in the finish - pure extract, never seen a hop flower in its life. Late finish does have some soapy aspects. Sub-par, even for Finnish standards.

Can. Golden, average and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish aroma, some sharp metal. Body is light, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, faint sharp metal with faint hoppyness. Finish is short, malty and lightly sweetish, some sharp metal, faint hoppyness. Watery "folköl" with metallic aroma/flavor .

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Canned (from K CM Kivihaka, Vaasa). Golden colour, mediumsized fluffy head. Aroma is mild floral notes, some hay, grains and mild herbal notes. Flavour is floral and fruity notes with some mild grainyness. Actually it felt quite harsh at first, but then got a bit better. Mild rubbery notes as it gets warmer.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Canned 500ml (BB 11/2012)
Clear golden color, small white head. Aroma of cooked corn, grain, metal and wet paper. Light bodied. Sticky metal flavor, otherwise typical sweet Olvi maltyness and low bitterness. Some lingering malty notes in the aftertaste. Very typical Olvi product. This time less alcohol with same price.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
500 ml can. BBE 03.11.2012.
Pours a golden colour with a large foamy white head. Aroma of wet cardboard, stinging malts and horrible grains. Flavour of pale malts, grains, light hops, cardboard and metals. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and a grainy, metallic and stingy finish. This is exactly like the 3,5% ABV bulk beers you get in Sweden from supermarkets. No, no, no.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
500 ml can. Finland.
Clear golden colour with small to average size white head.
Grainy malty aroma with papery and metal notes.
It’s exactly what I was expecting. Watered down basic Olvi lager. Unfortunately. Mild grainy malty flavour with metal. Bad. Ewwwh! Once again with Olvi: What’s the point?

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Dark golden clear colour, small white head. Typical low alc stinky malty aroma and flavour. Poor. Soft and smooth mouthfeel followed by stingy carbonation with metal flavour.
