mabjork (576), Vasa, Finland Mar 4, 2006 Bottled. Dark brown / red in colour. Rich creamy beige head. Lacings. It has a malty and kinda sweet aroma. It has a sweet malty taste with some coffee. Not all that much aftertaste. Dragonblaze99 (246), Greater London, England Jan 23, 2002 Interesting dark, robust and slightly smoky taste. The quality varies a LOT, I’ve had really skunky bottles of this beer. Dorqui (1283), Brescia, Italy Feb 25, 2006 Updated: Sep 16, 2007Bottled 0,50L. Creamy and dense foam, good adhesion and duration. Much dark brown color and lightly hazy one, medium fizz. Medium scent with notes of burned wood and toasted malt. Pungent and crisp taste, overbearing and balanced bitter body; optimal end with rumors of liquorice, ash and coffee.
Thanks to mabjork for this one. jjpm74 (2925), Connecticut, USA Mar 24, 2007 Courtesy of oh6gdx. Pours reddish brown with a tan head. Smells fruity with some malty undertones. Tastes of fruit and perfume with lots of earthy tea like hops. Palate is light and tingly. Finish is orangy. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 20, 2005 Updated: Jun 14, 2005(Bottle 50 cl) Very dark amber. Fine, almost Guinness-like off-white head which settles neatly - but never disappears - leaving laces inside the glass. Slightly sweet caramel-like malt character and almost no bitterness. A bit too light in body for my liking, but indeed a pleasant beer. 170405
