Jul 26, 2008 Pours a one finger white head that fades quickly, leaving little lace. Crystal clear amber color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Malty/hoppy nose. Flavor is sweet malty with some hoppy overtones. 330ml bottle €1.72 Alko Oy Helsinki, Finland. From my notes - 7/9/2008.

Jun 30, 2007 Big coarse offwhite head shrinks quickly. Body is beautiful copper. Roasty, caramelly oily aroma with notes of nuts and alcohol. Deep, sweet, roasty caramel taste with alcoholic notes. Very clean taste and mouthfeel. Dryish roasty caramel aftertaste leaves kind of dry medicinal feeling. Quite good. (0.33l bottle. Got to love the Finnish sound system: tuplapukki = doublebock.)

Jan 7, 2006 (Bottle 33 cl) Amber colour with a creamy, white head. Fat, sweetish malty nose. Incredibly solid body with loads of sweet caramel malt and some potent alcohol. A very solid brew. 030106

Dec 20, 2008 It is a warm golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of flower and malt. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of flower, malt, caramel and the alcohol is well hidden.

Dec 23, 2007 Canned. Dark golden coloured. Malty caramel aroma. Sweet malty flavour with notes of caramel, alcohol and loads of metal. Very primitive, but nice.

Feb 17, 2006 A hazy orange beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet malty with a slight touch of smoke, and so is the flavor.

Aug 25, 2007 A pale double bock, but the label malt liquor is probably more correct. Too low maltiness for being a proper doppelbock. Good head and delicate aroma. Not dominated by the alcohol as you could expect from a lager this pale. Well balanced body and finish. Definately drinkable, but a bit too anonymous. At 8,5% the beer should be more packed with taste.
