3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33 cl bottle at Bishops Arms, Malmö. Pours clear and golden amber with a small off white head. Aroma is citrusy and grapefruity hops. Medium body. Quite bitter and fruity, subdued malt base. Light acidic and fruity into a bitter and dry finish. Slight touch of pinewood and rather dry or lack off sweetness from the malt base is the main impression of this brew.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
This is the first "unique" Icelandic brew for me..
This is not my dish... but for some, perhaps.
I want more complexity .

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled. A nutbrown beer with a tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of nuts and some caramel. The flavor is sweet is with notes of nuts, malt, metal, and caramel, as weel as just a touch of licorice, leading to a dry metallic finish, where a bit of sweetness lingers.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
What a decent ale. The best and most flavorful Icelandic beer so far! I have been looking forward to this one. Small head, nice and hoppy aroma, medium bitterness and nicely malted. Medium filling and long lasting finish. Congratulations to Ölvisholt! The only brewer in Iceland (so far) who has the guts to be a bit creative.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: SEP 6, 2008 ruby red, with a firm small head. Hoppy aroma, some citrus and malts. Very good in my oppinion, but maybe too creative for the icelandic market, which would be a shame. Good nonetheless
